Who We Are

We are a group of like-minded individuals from different walks of life, different ethnicities, different religions, and different philosophies, dedicated to local organizing and action. We are dedicated to peaceful, non-violent resistance, and committed to the democratic process.

What We Believe In

  • Progressive policies.  Society should help people back on their feet because mutual support is why we have a society in the first place.

  • Principles of inclusion and diversity.  We stand against xenophobia, against bigotry, and for the rights of minorities. Including Muslims. Including immigrants. 

  • The importance of real information.  Whether from journalism or science, accurate information is critical in making informed policy decisions.

  • Civic Engagement. Helping members of our community to engage in politics and climb the ladder of engagement.

Focus of Our Work

Our volunteer efforts focus on local, state, and federal elections and representatives in and around California’s 49th Congressional District.  We work to:

  • Elect representatives who will advance progressive policies.

  • Hold representatives accountable to those progressive values.

  • Support our representatives’ efforts to advance progressive policies to ensure they succeed.  

  • Replace elected public officials who embrace far-right ideologies and policies that negatively impact our environment, diversity, equity, or are harmful to our society.
